Huff & Meade were recently selected as Traditional Culture Keepers by the University of Oregon Folklife Network. John was also the Topanga Canyon Traditional banjo contest winner in 2005. Joe and John (until recently) live on the sides of neighboring mountains in Oregon’s Coastal Range. Their music is simply an extension of their lives. They play it for the simple pleasure of it.
